1. Does it hurt getting a tattoo?
Sure, your getting tattooed! Some areas of the body are more sensitive then others but the feeling is more irritating then actually painful. Each persons pain tolerance varies.
2. Will I get H.I.V., aids or hepatitis from a tattoo?
No, not in our studio. We follow CDC (Center for Disease Control) universal precautions. All equipment is autoclave sterilized (hospital sterilization) and individually packaged. New sterile, individually packaged needles and tubes, and individually dispensed inks are used for each customer. Other items used : paper towels, ink caps, lap clothes, razors and ointment are all single service use items and are discarded after each use, eliminating any possible chance of cross contamination. To date there are no recorded cases of AIDS thru tattooing.
3. How much does it cost?
It is hard to place an absolute price on a tattoo or the idea without consultation, but our studio minimum is $50. This would be for small tattoos such as Chinese characters, Zodiac signs, small flowers, etc. Armbands start as low as $150, and basic wrist/ankle bands start at $125. Cost is based on several factors: size, detail and complexity, not necessarily the body part you choose. You can also stop in to get an idea of the time and price.
4. How old do I have to be to get a tattoo?
You must be 18 or older, and be able to prove it! Our studio requires photo id (drivers license or state/govt issued id) for everyone. If you are under age 18 please call for instructions.
5. What if I am drunk?
We choose and have the right to refuse service to anyone under the influence of any substance.
6. What if I'm on medication or have an illness?
Different medications or illnesses may effect the healing process. Basically a tattoo is a wound. Please call our studio with any concerns or to discuss your situation.
7. What if I'm pregnant?
Sorry, we will not be able to tattoo you during this time.
8. Do I have to make an appointment or am I able to get tattooed today?
Walk in's are always welcome! Appointments are recommended for large tattoos or custom work. Our hours are Tuesday-Saturday 12 pm- 8pm.
9. What about the designs?
We have thousands of designs to suit all tastes, bring in your own, or let one of our talented artists customize a design for you. We can redo old tattoos, cover-up unwanted tattoos and cover scars.
10. Can I be allergic to the inks used?
There is a slight risk of allergic reaction to the tattoo pigment (ink). But it is very rare. Please see your doctor for the proper allergy testing if you feel you would be at risk.
11. What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, Visa, Mastercard, debit cards and travelers checks. Sorry, no personal checks.
